Implementation Unit

The Implementation Unit is located within Cabinet Services and Implementation in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.  Our role is to strengthen the Government's monitoring capacity and assist departments and agencies in the effective delivery and implementation of key policy initiatives. Our clients are the Premier, Cabinet and other Queensland Government agencies.

We undertake our role by:

• Establishing and monitoring a complete record of all election commitments and Government policy and budgetary decisions and providing the Premier and Cabinet with regular reports on implementation progress; and 
• Working with Government agencies to ensure any obstacles to the implementation of Government commitments are effectively addressed and initiatives are kept on track.
