Patrick Vidgen

Governance
Pat Vidgen is the Deputy Director-General, Governance, Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
In this position, his responsibilities include the direction and support of State Affairs (Constitutional and Administrative Law Services, Executive Services, International Collaborations, Protocol Queensland and Government Air Wing); Ministerial Services; Security Planning and Coordination; State Services (Communication Services, Events Coordination, Marketing Services and Queensland's 150th); Financial Management, Corporate Capability (Human Resource Services, Facilities Coordination and Planning and Performance Services); Information and Communication Technology; Corporate Information and Audit Evaluation and Risk Services.
Pat has held the appointment as Clerk of the Executive Council of Queensland since 1997.
Pat has represented the Queensland Government on a range of State and Australian Government boards and committees, including South Bank Corporation; Queensland Events Corporation; Australian Honours Council; Australian Bravery Council; National Counter Terrorism Committee; Critical Infrastructure Advisory Committee; Queensland Commemorative Events and Celebrations Committee and the Diaster Relief Appeals Committee.
Since joining the Department of the Premier and Cabinet in 1990, Pat has held various senior positions within the Department of the Premier and Cabinet in the areas of Constitutional and Administrative Law Services, Security Planning and Coordination and State Affairs.
Pat completed a Bachelor of Business - Public Administration at the Queensland University of Technology in 1989.
