Dr Emma Collier-Baker

Emma is a post-doctoral research fellow working with Associate Professor Thomas Suddendorf in the School of Psychology at The University of Queensland at St Lucia.

Emma's project aimed to extend her research into the Evolution of Mind: The Representational Capacities of Apes.

Emma was hosted by the Think Tank at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park in Washington DC where she researched the cognitive capacities of orangutans, gorillas and gibbons.

Associate Professor Richard John

Richard is an associate professor at Griffith University's School of Environmental and Applied Sciences on the Gold Coast.

Richard's research specifically focused on enhancing The Griffith Science Education Alliance - Science Outreach to Queensland Schools, an initiative in which he has a lead role.

Richard worked with staff at the National Science Resources Center in Washington DC to learn about their strategies for engaging school districts in science education and outreach and assess the applicability of these strategies to Queensland.

Ms Bernadette McCormack

Bernadette is the Visitor Experience Manager at The Workshops Rail Museum at Ipswich.

Bernadette's research focused on the role and impact of public programs in museums.

Bernadette worked with colleagues at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in Washington DC on a major review of that museum's public programs and undertook a comparative study of public programs at the American History Museum and The Workshops Rail Museum.
