Associate Director-General, Dr Pradeep Philip

Pradeep Philip has extensive experience in both state and Commonwealth government, most recently as Director of Policy in the Prime Minister's Office.

He has rejoined the department after previously heading up the Implementation Unit and later, providing leadership as Deputy Director-General, Policy.

Pradeep's initial role upon joining the bureaucracy was as an economist with the Federal Department of the Treasury. He also pursued an academic career, tutoring and lecturing at the University of Queensland, Griffith University and the Australian National University.

Pradeep holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Queensland. His thesis focused on economic growth, knowledge and technological change.
