Cabinet Secretary, Bronwen Griffiths
In October 2006 Bronwen Griffiths took up the position of Cabinet Secretary – a role which encompasses leadership of the Cabinet Services and Implementation Branch.
This role involves providing advice to the Premier and the Director-General on the Cabinet timetable and protocols, and communicating to other agencies any Cabinet and Cabinet Committee decisions relating to key government priorities and policies.
Bronwen completed an honours degree in Economics at the University of Queensland in 1989, and joined the Commonwealth Treasury shortly after graduating.
While in Canberra she worked in various roles within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, including the Office for the Status of Women.
In 1995, Bronwen returned to Queensland to take up a position in the Office of Cabinet. She went on to work in departments that include the Department of Local Government, and the Department of Education. Bronwen has also worked as a Senior Policy Adviser to Anna Bligh, across a number of portfolios.
