Christine, executive director
Law and Justice Policy

I joined the Department’s Environment and Resources Policy team in September 2000, after working in line agencies across the Queensland Government. I arrived in Australia in 2001 to take up my graduate diploma in accounting at Macquarie University, and applied for residency under the skilled migrant category.

Nicole, project officer
Office of the Chief Scientist

As a scientist working in academia (the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland), I was looking for a chance to work on the ‘other side of science’. More specifically, I was keen to work in science policy and to examine the role of science in the community.
