The Queensland Government, through the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, offers a diverse program of events designed for the people of Queensland to enjoy.

2008 Ekka Queensland Government Pavilion
The Queensland Government pavilion at the Ekka will once again be alive with current Queensland Government initiatives, with a key focus on climate change. Come along and see how you can make a world of difference.

Regional Sitting of Parliament - Cairns 28-30 October 2008
The Far North Queensland sitting of Parliament will be held in Cairns between 28-30 October 2008 at the Cairns Convention Centre. In addition to a full parliamentary sitting program, there will be a number of free community events including displays, tours, entertainment and a public BBQ.

Major Projects Conference 2008
Looking forward. Delivering now.
The 2008 Major Projects Conference will be held on Tuesday 14 October 2008 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. The conference is an opportunity to network with project proponents from both the public and private sectors and to find out about significant private sector projects and the state's massive investment in infrastructure. It will also mark the release of Projects Queensland Issue 27 - the most authoritative annual guide on major investment in Queensland.

Australia Day
Australia Day is a national day of celebration held each year on the 26 January.  A lively program of events are currently being organised for 2009 Australia Day.  To get a taste of what you can expect visit www.australiaday.gov.au to see how we celebrated 2008 Australia Day.

Queensland Week
Queensland Week was held from 1-8 June 2008 and included a week-long program of events and activities designed to celebrate Queensland's great people and places. See event highlights.

Premier's Senior Christmas Concerts
The Premier's Seniors Christmas Concerts are a free Christmas carols event held annually in two regional locations around Queensland. In 2007, the concerts were held in Warwick and Bundaberg.

The Ideas Festival
