Register of Lobbyists
Professional lobbyists who wish to lobby government representatives (Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries, Ministerial staff and senior staff working in public sector agencies) must be listed on the Register of Lobbyists.
This is a requirement of the Queensland Contact with Lobbyists Code (PDF, 393 KB).
To be listed, professional lobbyists who act on behalf of third party clients need to:
- apply for inclusion on the Register of Lobbyists
- provide information about the business and all individuals involved in lobbying
- name the third parties for whom lobbying is undertaken - whether paid or unpaid
- identify whether or not the lobbyist is paid for providing the services
- identify whether or not they may receive a success fee for these services
- name those the lobbyist has provided paid or unpaid services as a Lobbyist during the previous twelve months
- update the register when their information changes
