2009 Premier's Christmas Concerts
Each year the Premier of Queensland celebrates the spirit of Christmas with regional Queenslanders through the Premier's Christmas Concerts.
The concerts bring some Christmas cheer to regional communities with performances by professional entertainers and local choirs.
This year two concerts are being held:
- Thursday 3 December (seniors' concert) - Woodlands of Marburg, 174 Seminary Road, Marburg. Concert is from 10am to 11am, followed by morning tea.
- Friday 11 December (all-ages concert) - Winton Shire Hall, 75 Vindex Street, Winton. Concert is from 10am to 11am, followed by morning tea.
This year the fun-loving CrackUP Sisters will host the concerts, featuring the musical talents of charismatic jazz singer Melissa Western and the 2009 Senior Superstar, Darcy Turgeon.
The concerts will also include performances by local students, and whipcracking and acrobratics from The CrackUP Sisters.
