The Government is asking all interested Queenslanders to register to be considered for a position on a board or committee. For these purposes, the Government operates the Queensland Register of Nominees to Government Bodies, a confidential listing of people who are interested in being appointed to Government boards, committees and statutory authorities.
All Queenslanders are eligible to join the register and to be considered for a diversity of Government boards.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women, people with knowledge and expertise on multiculturalism, young people and people with a disability are encouraged to apply to join the register.
When a Government-nominated position on a board or committee becomes vacant,
Ministers consult the register for names of people with skills to suit the position.
If you are selected, you are contacted directly by the Government agency responsible for the vacancy.
Please note that joining the register does not guarantee you will be appointed to a Government body.
