Part B Report - Review of Queensland Government Boards, Committees and Statutory Authorities
The Part B Report was presented to the Premier and publicly released on 31 March 2009. Informed by the recommendations in the Part A Report, it makes specific recommendations to the Premier on all government bodies within the Terms of Reference.
The report finalised the governance decision-making framework and recommended a process for the establishment of any future government bodies, including detailed decision making tools.
In addition, the Public Interest Map was applied to the 459 government bodies within the scope of the review. It identified those government bodies that are necessary and those that can be abolished, with or without recommendations to carryover the functions or powers of that body to the department or an alternative, more suitable entity.
The Part B Report contained 210 recommendations. The Queensland Government considered the contents of the Part B Report and accepted 177 recommendations of 210 recommendations.
