Petitioning is a way for members of the community to make formal requests about a particular issue directly to the Queensland Parliament.

e-Petitioning, together with the Internet Broadcast of Parliament (external site) is part of the Queensland Government's initiative designed to enhance government-community interactions through the use of e-technologies.

The Queensland Parliament holds a number of Parliament sitting dates (external site) throughout the year, where the public can listen to Parliament proceedings live on the internet.

The online broadcasting service features live audio and video coverage of Parliamentary sittings.

A rewarding and productive way to share your skills and expertise and to contribute to the effective functioning of government is to serve on a government board, committee or statutory authority.

There are hundreds of government bodies in Queensland that draw members from professional groups and the wider community.

All Queenslanders are eligible to list their details on the register and be considered for a diverse range of Queensland Government boards.

Attend a Community Cabinet meeting

Community Cabinet meetings are a chance to meet face-to-face with Ministers and discuss a broad range of concerns and views on a personal, community or state level.
