Queensland Government Advertising Code of Conduct
Queensland Government departments must plan, develop, implement, fund and evaluate communication campaigns in accordance with the Queensland Government Advertising Code of Conduct.
Summary
The Queensland Government Advertising Code of Conduct sets out the conditions and policies which apply to Queensland Government departments in the development and production of advertising material.
Some of these policies include:
- the advertising campaign must play an educative or informative role and be beneficial for the people of Queensland
- it must be apolitical
- there must not be any advertising within six months of an election
- funds which are designated for service delivery in the state budget must not be redirected towards advertising campaigns.
