    Independent Review of the Queensland Police Complaints, Discipline and Misconduct System

    In March 2011, the Premier announced an Independent Review of the Queensland Police Complaints, Discipline and Misconduct System. The Independent Panel tasked with the Review comprised Ms Simone Webbe, the Honourable Glen Williams AO, QC and Mr Felix Grayson APM.

    In May 2011, the Independent Panel delivered its report to the government and it was made available for comments and feedback through public consultation.

    In August 2011, the Queensland Government delivered its response to the independent report.

    Comments and feedback on the report received through public consultation were considered in government's response to the report’s recommendations.

    The Independent Panel’s report

    The report makes some significant recommendations for reform of the Queensland police complaints, discipline and misconduct system.

    The views contained in the report are the views of the independent panel and are not necessarily the views of the Queensland Government, the Crime and Misconduct Commission or the Queensland Police Service.
