4.10 Consideration in detail stage

After the Bill's second reading, the Legislative Assembly moves into a stage of considering the Bill in detail. For this stage, the Speaker of the Assembly takes the chair at the Table of the House. The Assembly considers the text of the Bill, one clause or group of clauses at a time, and any schedules, and makes any amendments that are moved by a member and agreed to by the Assembly.

If the Bill has a preamble, the preamble is considered after the passing of the clauses and any schedules.
