4.3 Statutory requirements

The Act governing the operations of a Board may, or may not, specify the composition of the Board. Any requirements contained in the legislation are mandatory.

Qualification for appointment

s.15 At least 1 member must be a person who:

  1. has held office as a Judge of the Supreme Court or as a Judge of District Courts and who no longer holds such office; or
  2. has engaged in legal practice for at least 5 years.
