Implementation of the Privacy Plan

The steps taken to implement the privacy plan are set out below. Informing ministerial officers of their privacy obligations and responsibilities plays a critical role in successfully complying with the requirements of IS42 and related guidelines.

Ministerial officers provided with privacy brochures and other relevant privacy information.
Privacy and security statement developed and placed on website.
Privacy training Ministerial officers participate in privacy awareness training sessions
Privacy compliance self-assessment Ministerial offices complete a privacy compliance self-assessment process and take remedial action on any identified areas of risk.
Contracts and agreements Contracts and agreements reviewed for compliance with the IPPs.
Complaint management Complaint management procedure developed and implemented.
Privacy procedures Privacy Plan published on DPC website
Privacy information included in Queensland Ministerial Handbook.
Privacy procedures developed and implemented, as required.
Conduct annual review Privacy plan reviewed and updated annually.
Ongoing privacy awareness Privacy awareness training provided at regular intervals and privacy resources developed, as necessary.
