Q150 Steam Train hold up in Cloncurry.
Q150 Steam Train journey around Queensland
The Q150 Steam Train and its passengers have become used to rock star welcomes around the State, the sign of a job well done by a handful of public servants working hard behind the scenes.
Prue Dargusch, Q150 Marketing and Communication Manager, and Odette Moore, Q150 Event Manager joined the train in June for its journey from Townsville to Cloncurry.
One memorable moment was the Great Cloncurry Q150 Steam Train hold up re-enactment. Robbers (actors) on horses held up the train on its way to Cloncurry taking passengers, Q150 and Queensland Rail staff by surprise. These bushrangers relieved the passengers of some of their wealth, all in good fun of course.
The Q150 Steam Train has caused great excitement wherever it goes throughout the state. It has achieved what it set out to do and that was to touch as many Queenslanders as possible.
Look out for the Q150 Steam Train if you are going to the Ekka this year. It will transport passengers between the Ekka stop and Roma Street.
The final sector of the Q150 Steam Train starts on 17 August from Brisbane, taking passengers through Quilpie to Ipswich, arriving on 30 August.
Don't miss this once-in-a-150-year opportunity. Book your tickets through Traveltrain by phoning 1800 QLD 150 (1800 753 150).
