A full trophy shelf for SSQ
Smart Service Queensland (SSQ), the 'front door to the Queensland Government's information and services', has won a swag of state and national awards for outstanding achievements in service delivery and project management.
General Manager Dianne Jeans said SSQ's Integrated Contact Centre staff deliver more than 200 services on behalf of 24 government agencies and handle over 3000 different enquiry types.
Some of SSQ's successes:
- Finalist in four of the five Australian Teleservices Association Awards categories. Jenny Pye won Queensland Teleprofessional of the Year.
- Best Government Contact Centre (over 30 full-time employees category) at the International Quality Productivity Centre Awards.
- Winner of the Community Service/Development category at the Queensland Project Management Achievement Awards for the SES Flood Storm Emergency Line Project.
- Winner of the Australian Institute of Project Management Achievement Award Small Project category for the Local Government Electoral Campaign.

133 Graduates strengthen child protection
Graduation ceremonies have been held in Brisbane and Cairns, marking the achievements of 133 child protection students.
Seventy-three students graduated with a Certificate IV in Community Services (Protective Care) and 60 with a Certificate IV in Community Services (Protective Intervention).
The training program won the 2008 Department of Communities Premier's Award for Collaborative Achievement. It was also a finalist in the Premier's Award for Partnerships and Reconciliation.

PSM Program Graduates 2009
50 future leaders graduate from PSM Program
The Public Service Management (PSM) Program held its 2009 graduation on 8 April at Customs House in Brisbane.
The Graduates from 18 federal, state and local government agencies were awarded a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management from Griffith, Macquarie, RMIT, Curtin or Flinders universities.
The PSM Program is administered in Queensland by the Public Service Commission.
