Triple serving of Chinese

The Queensland Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) has reinforced its position as the leading gallery in the Asia-Pacific region with its outstanding exhibition The China Project.

Running until 28 June, The China Project features three main elements:

Three Decades: The Contemporary Chinese Collections presents around 140 extraordinary works by 40 contemporary Chinese artists from the 1980s to the present, drawing primarily from the Queensland Art Gallery Collection.

Zhang Xiaogang: Shadows in the Soul is a haunting exhibition by one of China's most eminent painters.

Life Lines is a photographic exhibition by North Queensland-born William Yang, highlighting Australia's long and complex migrant history with China.

Together these displays present three unique points of view on contemporary Chinese art in its richest and most engaging forms.
