Patti retired on 27 March 2009 after 29 years as a public servant in Cherbourg.
Position:
Program Development Officer, Cherbourg Youth Justice Service, Department of Communities.
Work:
As Program Development Officer, I networked with the Indigenous community to provide information to service centre staff about upcoming programs. I also developed programs and services to meet the needs of clients, particularly with peer and line manager support. This role also involved some one-on-one with young people.
I worked in the Cherbourg community most of my working career. I began working in 1970 as a 17 year old. My first public service job was with Department of Education at the Cherbourg Primary School.
Greatest achievement:
I have enjoyed my experience in this role and I feel I accomplished much in many areas of support services to clients and families of the Jumbunna Youth Justice Service.
