Modernism comes to Brisbane
The State Library of Queensland is hosting a Powerhouse Museum exhibition - Modern Times: the untold story of modernism in Australia.
The exhibition showcases how the international modernism movement transformed Australian culture from 1917 to 1967.
Over 250 works of art, design, architecture advertising, film, photography and fashion are on display in the exhibition, including a partial re-creation of architect Harry Seidler's Sydney studio. Seidler's designs include Brisbane's Riverside Centre, Riparian Plaza and the Hilton Hotel.
