Tell me about Right to Information…
Over the past 18 months the Government reviewed the Freedom of Information laws and as a result the Right to Information Act 2009 and the Information Privacy Act 2009 were passed in June 2009. Agencies are now required to take a proactive approach to maximise the dissemination of information held by Government. The Office monitors the application of the new laws and reviews Government agency decisions under the legislation.
