Q100 celebrations - 50 years ago
In 1959, Queensland celebrated its 100th birthday - Q100 - and to honour our early years, we present a series of photographs taken during the 1959 centennial parade in Brisbane.
The late Blair Linnett, who was employed by the Department of Primary Industries all his working life, took these photos. He travelled throughout Queensland, always with his camera close by, taking many photographs along the way.
These pictures were sent to the Q150 Celebrations team in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet by Blair Linnett's son, Mark.
