    White Ribbon Workplace

The Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) has been accredited as a White Ribbon Workplace and recognised by White Ribbon Australia as a pioneer in contributing to cultural change to prevent and respond to violence against women.

The accreditation recognises our commitment to prevent violence, support employees affected by domestic and family violence (DFV), and promote safe and respectful workplace cultures.

DPC firmly recognises that DFV is a workplace issue that can affect the safety, wellbeing, attendance, productivity and performance of all employees (i.e. those experiencing violence, those using violence, carers and colleagues). We are proud of the steps we have taken to foster workplace change.  We support our employees to stand up, speak out and act to eliminate DFV and to develop respectful, inclusive and equitable relationships.

DPC's Executive Leadership Team has shown its commitment towards ending DFV by signing the White Ribbon pledge to stand up, speak out and act.

Our DFV policy enables access to support for all employees, including contractors, agency temporary staff, work experience and industry placements, trainees and volunteers.

Our accreditation is just the beginning of our continuing journey to building a safe and supportive culture that demonstrates respect, gender equality, and a zero tolerance to violence.

Further information about services and support for people impacted by domestic and family violence is available from the Domestic and family violence portal.
