7.18 Following the progress of a Bill

The Votes and Proceedings show the progress of Bills through the Legislative Assembly. Most departments are issued daily with Proof Votes direct from the Government Printer. Receipt of this publication can be arranged through the Bills and Papers Office.

The Table Office also produces a publication known as the Bills Update. The publication is a guide to legislation currently before, and recently passed by, the Legislative Assembly. It includes details such as the name of each Bill, the responsible Minister, introduction date, stage reached, date of Assent and Act number. The publication is updated regularly on the Internet.

Both the Votes and Proceedings and Bills Update can be accessed via the Internet at and selecting "Votes and Proceedings" or "Master Bills Register".
