    Integrity and accountability review

The Queensland Government is committed to transparency, accountability and operating in accordance with the Westminster principles of government.

In 2009-2010 the Queensland Government undertook a comprehensive program of legislative and administrative integrity and accountability reform, following consultation on the discussion paper Integrity and Accountability Queensland released on 6 August 2009.  The government’s commitments for reform to the integrity and accountability framework were detailed in the Response to Integrity and Accountability in Queensland released on 10 November 2009.

The reforms included the enactment of the Integrity Act 2009, Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010, Ministerial and Other Office Holder Staff Act 2010 and Integrity Reform (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act 2010, and administrative reforms such as the conduct of People’s Question Time and changes to the State Procurement Policy.
